To be honest, I was anticipating it for quite a while. A year and a half on 4chan, even on the "blue boards" (the purportedly worksafe ones), does wonders to suppress your run-off-screaming mechanism in favor of your probably-unhealthy-interest mechanism.
And besides, it was so well written and well-characterized! Much kudos.
